History of Space science and exploration
What is the ISS (International Space Station)?
The ISS was built in 1998 and it is a large spacecraft in orbit around the Earth. It acts as a home where astronauts live and also a science laboratory for them to conduct space experiments. Many countries worked together to build and use the ISS. The ISS travels at 17,500 mph; this means that it orbits Earth every 90 minutes!
